Marlova

Marlova fire roughly two hundred pieces a month and sell them within a week. The site had to be updated by two people who make pots for a living, not by a studio on retainer.

Built to be updated badly

So the CMS was designed to survive imperfect use. One photograph per piece, one paragraph, one price. No hero image to choose, no layout options, no way to break the page. A piece goes live in about ninety seconds.

Photography direction was the larger half of the project: a fixed setup, a fixed lens, a fixed background, so that pieces shot eight months apart still sit together on the same page.
