Overview
Hôtel Margot had nine rooms, one photographer and a booking engine inherited from the previous owners. What it did not have was a way of speaking. Everything written about the hotel sounded like every other small hotel in Lisbon: warm, curated, hidden gem.
Rooms before rates
We rebuilt the site around the rooms themselves. Each one gets a full page, its own photography, its own floor plan and the name the staff actually use for it. Rates appear once you have decided you want the room — not before. The booking flow was reduced from five steps to two.
The identity borrows from the building rather than the sector: the lettering is drawn from a tile pattern in the stairwell, the palette from the original 1930s door frames. Nothing on the site is stock.
